Visitor Guidelines
Visitation
In accordance with 37 Pa Code § 95.233 (Visiting), The Fayette County Jail will offer all inmates a free, 30-minute visit weekly. Visits will be non-contact and conducted as a video visit. Once approved through the jail’s screening process, the inmate’s family/friend will have the opportunity to enter the jail’s lobby at a prescheduled time and use one of the four visitation kiosks. The inmate shall remain on their unit and utilize the visitation kiosk for that unit. All visitors entering the jail must present a valid photo ID and sign into the visitor’s log. Additionally, an inmate’s natural or adopted children will be permitted to visit when accompanied by an authorized adult. Birth certificates for such children may be requested. On site visitation is handicapped accessible.
Procedure
Visitors wishing to schedule a visit will need to register at https://www.fayettecopa.gtlvisitme.com/app and create an account. When registering, visitors will be required to submit a clear photo of their government issued ID. Refusal to do so will result and denial of the visit. Visitors will be prompted to read and agree to The Fayette County Jail’s visitation policy. Failure to abide will result in denial of the visit. Visitors will be required to arrive at the jail no more than 10-minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the visit. If the visitor arrives earlier, they will be asked to wait outside and will not be permitted to remain in the lobby. Visitors previously incarcerated at The Fayette County Jail will not be approved to visit a current inmate for a period of 60 days after being released.
Requirements and Allowances
Visits must be scheduled at a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Visits cannot be scheduled more than 14 days in advance. Visits must be cancelled 24 hours in advance. If an inmate is transferred to another facility or released, the visit will automatically be cancelled. The minimum age to register and schedule a visit is 18 years of age. Inmates will be permitted one 30-minute visit weekly. Visitors will be permitted to utilize the kiosks only once per week. The maximum number of visitors per inmate is two. This may be two adults or one authorized adult and one minor natural or adopted child of the inmate. All visits are subject to monitoring, recording, and review.
