Until further notice, the Fayette County Courthouse will be closed to the general public, effective 8:00 a.m. Friday, March 20, with the exception of the Courts.
The Courts will be providing all essential operations as mandated by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. The Courts and Court-related offices, which include the Prothonotary, Clerk of Courts, and Register of Wills, will continue to provide essential services as outlined by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Be advised that the Agenda Meeting of the Fayette County Commissioners, scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2020 has been cancelled.
The meeting is rescheduled for Thursday, March 19, 2020, immediately preceding the County Commissioners Regular Meeting (10:00 a.m.) in the Public Service Building located at 24 East Main Street, Uniontown, PA 15401.
As a precautionary health and safety measure due to the Coronavirus and an effort to reduce the attendance exposure, all non-essential items, proclamations, etc. are hereby postponed until further notice; this includes postponing action on the proposed Second Amendment Ordinance.
The commissioners may decide on the petitions following the hearings or at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the board.
