GPS Routing and Mapping Issues

Fayette County 911 dispatches emergency services by the incorporated municipality (city, township, or borough). Dispatching is not done by mailing city/zip code.

The Agency only maintains GIS (mapping) databases for emergency response purposes, and references by 911 dispatchers. This information is also useful during disasters, where EMA and HazMat staff can access.

We do not and cannot control the address and location information used by third-party organizations and companies. Please visit the GPS corrections page which is externally maintained for links to correction forms for many popular third-party mapping applications such as Google Maps, Waze, TomTom, Garmin, Mapquest, Apple Maps, and more.
