[ARCHIVED] Fayette County Courthouse Turns Green For Veterans

OGL 1

The illumination is part of NACo's Operation Green Light for Veterans.

Operation Green Light for Veterans is under way at the Fayette County Courthouse.

The historic clock tower, located along Main Street in downtown Uniontown, will glow green every night from Nov. 7 to 13, in honor of Veterans Day and all associated celebrations.

Spearheaded by the National Association of Counties (NACo) and the National Association of County Veteran Service Officers (NACVSO), Operation Green Light calls for government organizations to illuminate buildings and highlight the important role counties play in connecting local veterans with resources and benefits.

If you know a veteran in need, direct them to the Fayette County Veteran Affairs Office. Contact Director Brian Bensen at bbensen@fayettepa.org or 724-430-1241 for more information.
