Fayette County officials issued a proclamation to representatives from the Crime Victims' Center, in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Wear Teal Day.
County Commissioners and District Attorney Rich Bower issued a proclamation today declaring April Sexual Assault Awareness Month in Fayette County. Officials from the Fayette County Crime Victims Center were acknowledged for their outstanding efforts to assist victims and their families in navigating the legal process.
2021 marks 20 years for Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and all are encouraged to wear teal in the hopes of spreading the word and helping to prevent such crimes.
