| Tax Assessment | The purpose of the Tax Assessment Appeals Board is to hear and decide on petitions of 40 day and yearly appeals. The board hears testimony then sets a valuation on property. Meetings are scheduled as needed to hear appeals brought by property owners or taxing bodies. Hearings are held in the Appeals Board Hearing Room on the fourth floor of the Fayette County Courthouse.
