COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics Ongoing

COVID Task Force logo

Fayette County officials will start the springtime by distributing an unprecedented number of vaccinations to residents.

The Fayette County COVID-19 Vaccine Taskforce, along with our county Commissioners, are proud to announce that nearly 15,000 doses of vaccine are expected to be administered during the next three weeks by WVU Medicine
Uniontown Hospital
,
Highlands Hospital
and our partner pharmacies.
After anxiously waiting on vaccine from the state, county hospitals are now excited to ramp up first dose clinics again. A few things to keep in mind as the task force continues its work in providing vaccine to our residents:
✅ The task force continues to administer vaccine to those eligible under Phase 1A and 1A+ classifications.
✅ Highlands Hospital expects to deliver 1,100 first doses on Wednesday, March 24, at their new location at the Connellsville Township Fire Hall. These clinics will continue on Wednesdays through April.
✅ WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital expects to deliver 1,500 first doses on Thursday, March 25, and 1,500 first doses on Friday March 26, at the Uniontown Mall (former Burlington location).  WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital will continue 1st and 2nd doses through April.
✅ Appointments are required and currently being scheduled for next week’s clinics. Schedulers are working through the Fayette County Vaccination Registry and calls are in process from both the WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital and Senator Pat Stefano’s offices in Connellsville and Somerset.
✅ If you are waiting for an appointment, it is important that you answer your phone even if the number shows as spam. Schedulers will call each number a maximum of four times before placing your name back on the registry for eventual re-contact.
✅ WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital and Highlands Hospital, as well as the majority of our partner pharmacies, will continue administering Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Johnson & Johnson vaccine is currently earmarked for use in the education community.
If you still need to register, visit www.fayettecountypa.org and click on the yellow COVID-19 box. Then choose “Individual Registration” and complete the registration form.
We appreciate your continued patience as we work toward providing vaccine to each #FayetteCoPA resident who wishes to receive it. 💉
