Commissioner Dave Lohr is passionate about Fayette County and the people who live here. Born and raised in Connellsville, Dave graduated from Connellsville Area High School in 1975. He went on to attend Asbury Bible College and Penn State Fayette, where he studied mechanical and civil engineering. After college, Dave joined the Navy, where he achieved the rank of Petty Officer Second Class before being honorably discharged in 1985.
Dave has been self-employed in insurance and securities for more than 30 years, helping individuals and families to plan for a better future. He brings that same perspective to his position as Commissioner, where he is working to promote positive community and economic growth for all of Fayette County.
Dave is an active lifetime member of the Connellsville Alliance Church, where he has served as an elder and youth director for more than 20 years. He is a board member of Penn Highlands Teens for Christ of Uniontown, as well as sitting on the advisory board for Champion Family and Children Center. Dave and his wife Gretchen reside in Connellsville.
