Masontown Borough

General Character

Masontown Borough is located in the west-central portion of Fayette County along the Monongahela River. The Borough is rather unique in that is contains a large existing urban center in association with a relatively large amount of undeveloped and agricultural lands. The urban portions on the Borough is comprised of a variety of uses including single and multiple family residential, commercial and neighborhood commercial. 

Large portions of the buildings in the town itself are older and with the exception of isolated buildings are well maintained. The Borough also has a large park that shares its name with German Township.
